The Ohio Bailiffs and Court Officers Association
Application Information

All court officers and bailiffs in Ohio courts are encouraged to join the Ohio Bailiffs and Court Officers Association. Contact any of our members for more information or Email us and someone will contact you.

THE STRUCTURE

Executive Board
The Association Executive Board Consists of:
President
1st Vice President
2nd Vice President
3rd Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Immediate Past President
Executive Director, ad hoc

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of the Executive Board and Seven Region Directors elected statewide to represent the seven regions of the State. The Association meets twice a year (Spring and Fall) with its annual meeting being held at the fall meeting in Columbus.

Membership
The Association has the following types of membership:

Active Member		Employee of the court, criminal justice professional or practitioner, and those engaged in the instruction of all phases of criminal justice. (see Affiliate Member)
Associate Member		Retirees, students and Explorer Scouts and Senior Girl and Boy Scouts.
Affiliate Member		Judges, Attorneys, Public Defenders, Prosecutors, and State, County and District Attorneys, their Directors'.
Honorary Member		Anyone approved by the Board of Directors.
Life Member		Bestowed by the Board of Directors upon members of the Association.
Organizational Membership		Consists of any court, department or group with two or more individuals as described in Active Member. The entity must identify which three members shall have the right to cast votes on issues which come before the general membership. These individuals are eligible to hold office in the Association.

THE BENEFITS

The Association is dedicated to "Maximizing Excellence" for court officers and provides the following opportunities for each member to participate in this endeavor:

• Network with other court officers from across the state;
• Serve in leadership roles within the Association as an officer, director, or committee chairperson
• Serve on state and local committees and have positive impact on issues which relate to you as a court officer;
• Receive statewide and local recognition for exemplary performance; and,
• Attend quality training programs.

Annual Membership
Individual $75.00

Organizational Membership
  3 to 10 Members $200.00
11 to 26 Members $250.00
26 to 50 Members $300.00
51 to 75 Members $350.00
76 plus   Members $400.00

(NOTE: when submitting fees for organizational memberships include a list of all names and titles)

Cost can vary depending on type, location, etc.
