Although she is the youngest of three children, wise beyond her years and possessing impeccable organizing skills she is the 'go to' person in her family just as she is on the job. Victoria is the consummate professional and does not leave any stone unturned on any project or program she is working on.

A deputy bailiff since 1999, Ms. Thurman, has embraced her position with the Cleveland Municipal Court General Division with an open mind eager to learn every facet of the job. She is a graduate of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Association and has advance training in computer skills, both soft and hardware. A quick study Vickie is often called upon to serve as Personal Bailiff, a position of trust and great responsibility by the twelve judges of the court. Additionally, she is one of few bailiffs that trains Personal Bailiffs of new judges when they take the bench. In fact, some judges affectionately refer to her as 'Judge Thurman.'

Victoria has the skills and ability to talk to and reach diverse audiences. She is equally as effective and successful working in the community as well as negotiating in the courtroom. Going into battle there is no one else you would rather have with you than 'Ms. Vickie,' the other term of endearment by which everyone refers to her. She is an independent thinker and worker whose loyalty you can always depend upon. Victoria Thurman will be an asset to the growth and development of the Ohio Bailiff Court Officers Association and hopes to some day serve as President.
